A special edition of the Spain 2011 soccer jersey has been released in commemoration of their 2010 World Cup victory. The jersey is highlighted by an embroidered World Cup winner’s star above the team’s crest, in addition to the special FIFA WC Winner’s badge over the right breast. According to reports, Spain’s national team will wear the jersey in EURO 2012 qualification matches.

In a clash of first time hopefuls Spain’s men’s national soccer team defeated Holland 1-0, winning what is perhaps the most coveted trophy in all of sports. In addition to grabbing the vaunted trophy Spanish players have also earned a more permanent honor – Spain’s jersey will be updated to include an embroidered star above the team crest, which is award to all World Cup winning countries.

Spain’s jersey manufacturer Adidas are already busy updating existing stock, and the revised jersey should become widely available this month, and hopes to avoid the kind of supply problems that have plagued their counterpart Nike.
